Algebra 1 - Laws of Exponents

This post explains and give practice opportunities related to TEKS A.11B:

simplify numeric and algebraic expressions using the laws of exponents, including integral and rational exponents
 

Instruction

Students learn to multiply powers with the same base.

Students also learn to divide powers with the same base.

Students learn how to take the power of a power and a negative power.

Finally, students learn how to interpret rational exponents.
