# CORD

CORD stands for Comparing, Ordering, and Representing with Dice. Each CORD activity can be done alone or with a partner. Students need 10-sided dice for CORD. If physical dice are not available, students can create their own (large or small) or use a digital dice roller (select the number of 10-sided dice you need and use the digit 0 instead of 10) or spinner (select wheel size 10 and use digit 0 instead of 10).

## CORD Level 1

Students generate 2-digit numbers to compare, order, and represent with expanded form. In addition, students find numbers that are 10 more and 10 less and place their numbers on open number lines.

## CORD Level 2

Students generate 3-digit numbers to compare, order, and represent with expanded form. In addition, students find numbers that are 10 more and 10 less, 100 more and 100 less and place their numbers on open number lines.

## CORD Level 3

Students generate 5-digit numbers to compare, order, and represent with expanded notation. In addition, students break apart the numbers in various ways and round them using descriptive language.

## CORD Level 4

Students generate 9-digit numbers to compare, order, and represent with expanded notation. In addition, students generate decimals to the hundredths place and place their decimals on a number line.

## CORD Level 5

Students generate decimals to the thousandths place to compare, order, and represent with expanded notation. In addition, generate and graph ordered pairs on a coordinate plane and create a quadrilateral to graph.
