3rd Grade Math - Representing Multiplication Facts

This post explains and gives practice opportunities related to TEKS 3.4E:

represent multiplication facts by using a variety of approaches such as repeated addition, equal-sized groups, arrays, area models, equal jumps on a number line, and skip counting

Instruction

More than simply memorizing math facts, students in 3rd grade learn to represent multiplication using a variety of methods.

STAAR Practice

Between 2016 and 2024 (including redesign practice), this supporting standard has been tested 5 times on the STAAR test. Videos explaining each problem can be found below.
