3rd Grade Math - Area of Rectangles

This post explains and gives practice opportunities related to TEKS 3.6C:

determine the area of rectangles with whole number side lengths in problems using multiplication related to the number of rows times the number of unit squares in each row

Instruction

In third grade, students begin to explore the geometric concept of area and how to find it by overlaying rectangles with square units.
