This post explains and give practice opportunities related to TEKS A.2H:
write linear inequalities in two variables given a table of values, a graph, and a verbal description;
Students learn to take verbal descriptions (word problems) and translate them into linear inequalities.
Graphs can also be used to create inequalities, paying close attention to whether the line is dotted (greater or less than) or solid (greater/less than or equal to).
Between 2016 and 2022, this supporting standard has been tested 6 times on the STAAR test. Videos explaining the problems can be found below.
