Today, in the third and final week of our review, we turn to the third reporting category in the assessed curriculum - Geometry and Measurement.

**Converting Customary Units**

There are a lot of potential conversions that students might need to make using customary units, from length and weight to volume and time. Here's a short recap of converting customary units for 6th graders.

With that in mind, try this conversion problem from a released STAAR test.

Though not tested in 2017, 6th graders also need to be able to convert using measurements in the metric system. There's a short video you watch about that __here.__

**Angles in a Triangle**

Did you know that every triangle that has ever been drawn has something in common other than the fact that they have three sides? All triangles have a sum of 180 degrees if you add their internal angles! That's a new concept that 6th graders need to learn.

This simple problem from a released STAAR test was a griddable item, which meant there were no answer choices to select from. You'll have to come up the correct answer all on your own.

**Graphing on a Coordinate Plane**

Students spent a lot of time in 5th grade learning how to graph in quadrant I of a coordinate plane. Now, in 6th grade, they extend that knowledge to encompass negative coordinates and the other three quadrants.

With that refresher, you shouldn't have any difficulties with this problem below.
