4th Grade Math - Measurement Problems

This post explains and gives practice opportunities related to TEKS 4.8C:

solve problems that deal with measurements of length, intervals of time, liquid volumes, mass, and money using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division as appropriate

Instruction

Students learn to solve problems related to intervals of time.

Students also learn to solve measurement problems that require unit conversions.

STAAR Practice

Between 2016 and 2025 (including redesign practice), this readiness standard has been tested 18 times on the STAAR test. Videos explaining the problems can be found below.
